This session was focused on giving young participants a great first experience with basketball.

Basketball England delivered a participation session.
All abilities were welcome, with plenty of coaches on hand to support players.

Winner stays, challengers rotate, first basket wins the spot - 20 minutes of fast-paced competition crowning one Queen of the Court

Homecoming Celebration with Basketball England

The public were invited down to meet the championship-winning quartet from the Commonwealth Games 2026 and see their gold medals as they returned to the 3x3 court where they inspired London ahead of the games. There was live interviews with the players about their gold medal journey, 3x3 basketball sessions, as well as photo and autograph opportunities.

FAQs

All required equipment such as balls will be provided for you, so there's no need to hire any equipment. You will need to come ready to play, with suitable shoes. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and sunscreen with you, and keeping personal belongings to a minimum as lockers will not be available.

All our venues are easily accessible via public transport. To travel to:

Paternoster Square, EC4M 7DX - Mansion House, St Paul's and Blackfriars tube stations are only a short walk away. The closest overground station is City Thameslink which is regularly served by Thameslink trains. Bus routes 11, 15, 17, 26, 76, N11, N15, N21, N26, N199, N550, N551 frequently stop at St Paul's Cathedral stop SK.

A public toilet is available in Paternoster Square from Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm and on weekends 9am - 5pm. Please note: 50p charge may apply to everyone except RADAR key holders. Change machines are available.

Yes! All our activities are suitable for all and are wheelchair friendly.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, you will be notified, and your booking will be cancelled.

We kindly advise that drinking alcohol and smoking is not permitted when partaking in sporting activities, and request all participants play and use the provided equipment responsibly.
